Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Pages are drawn and saved as images inside your browser. Nothing is sent to PactPen or any other server.

PNG or JPG?

PNG is lossless, so text, charts and diagrams stay perfectly sharp, but files are larger. For scans and photos, JPG is much smaller; use PDF to JPG instead.

Which quality should I pick?

Standard (150 DPI) is sharp on screens and keeps files small. High (300 DPI) is print quality, with files about four times larger.

Why do I get a .zip file?

A PDF with several pages becomes several images, and browsers handle one download far better than dozens. Open the .zip to find an image for each page, numbered in order.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Remove the password first.

Is there a limit?

Files up to 25 MB and up to 100 pages.
