How it works

  1. Choose the PDF you need to sign. It opens in your browser and is not uploaded anywhere.
  2. Type your name in a handwriting style, or draw your signature.
  3. Click the page where the signature belongs. Switch to Date to add today’s date. Drag to adjust; add as many as you need.
  4. Press Download signed PDF.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is opened, signed and saved entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to PactPen or any other server.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no watermark and no limit on how many PDFs you sign this way.

Is a signature added this way legally binding?

Adding your own signature image shows your agreement in the same way as signing a printout, which is often enough. It does not prove who added it, though. When the other side needs evidence of who signed and when, use an e-signature service that records consent and keeps an audit trail.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted or password-protected files cannot be changed here. Remove the protection first, with the password, and then sign.
