Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. The file never leaves your device, which matters for ID cards, certificates and other personal documents.
How many pages fit in 1 MB?
Around four scanned pages full of text at a sharp 150 DPI, or about ten at a readable 100 DPI. A PDF made on a computer (not scanned) often fits with its text kept as text.
Why can I no longer select the text?
To reach a small size, each page is redrawn as an image. If the original was already small enough with its text kept, you get that version instead, and the page tells you.
Can I aim for a different size?
