Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your browser. The file never leaves your device, which matters for ID cards, certificates and other personal documents.

How many pages fit in 200 KB?

About two scanned pages full of text at a readable 100 DPI, and more when the pages are lighter, such as certificates, letters with wide margins or ID cards. More pages still fit at a lower resolution; the tool warns you if small print may have become hard to read.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in the phone’s browser, so you can compress a PDF and upload it to the form from the same device.

Why can I no longer select the text?

To reach a small size, each page is redrawn as an image. If the original was already small enough with its text kept, you get that version instead, and the page tells you.

Can I aim for a different size?

Yes, use Compress PDF to a size and type any limit, such as 300 KB or 1 MB.
