Resize a signature image to under 10 KB
Some application forms ask for a signature between 10 and 20 KB, or under 10 KB. A signature is mostly white paper, so it fits easily once the paper is cleaned up. Photograph it, choose the photo, and download.
Other sizes: Compress image to a size · Compress image to 20 KB · Compress image to 50 KB · Compress image to 100 KB · Compress image to 200 KB · Resize signature to 50 KB · Resize signature to 20 KB · PDF to 100 KB

- Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen and take a photo of it in good light.
- Choose the photo. Keep Clean background on to turn grey paper and shadows white.
- If the form gives a size in pixels, enter it, then download the JPG.
Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The image is resized and compressed inside your browser and never leaves your device, which matters for ID photos and signatures.
Is 10 KB enough for a clear signature?
Yes. Once the paper is pure white, a signature at the sizes forms ask for (often around 140×60 pixels) needs only a few KB. Crop close to the signature so the space goes to the ink, not the margins.
The form says between 10 and 20 KB. Which page do I use?
Use Resize signature to 20 KB, then check the size shown after it finishes. If a small, clean signature comes out under 10 KB, enter the pixel size the form asks for under Exact size, or photograph the signature larger, and try again.
The form also gives a size in pixels. Can I set that?
Yes. Enter the width and height under Exact size. The image is cropped from the centre to that shape rather than stretched, so a face or signature is never squashed.
How do I know which size my form wants?
The form’s instructions state it, usually as a maximum in KB and sometimes as width and height in pixels. Limits differ from one form to the next, so check yours rather than relying on a general rule.
